This marked the season that Oxford United would transition from wearing gold and black and we began to see the evolution towards yellow (and eventually yellow and blue).

Initially, the kits were identical to those of the previous season, but starting in late September, the team wore yellow shirts with a V-inset collar. All of these yellow shirts were long-sleeved.
