Nike was now in its fourth season supplying the kits to Oxford United.
The shirt sponsors remained unchained, however, in an unusual move, Bridle Insurance ended their sponsorship early (see details below).
This was to be the final season with N-Power featuring as The Football League sponsors.

This was a quiet season for Oxford United with little progress on the field. However, there was a change of chairman, with Ian Lenagan taking over the reins.
A plain collared shirt, which was similar in style to a polo shirt was chosen for the home shirt.
Unusually for Oxford United, the home strip was ‘all yellow’, something not seen since the 1974-75 season.
There was no obvious reason for the away variations to be worn as there was no colour clash. Maybe the kit-man was quickly bored with all-yellow?

Nike’s ‘Chevron’ shirt template was chosen as the change shirt. This was a popular design with both fans and other teams in the football leagues.
Because of the narrow width of the chevron ‘V’, the club crest on these shirts was a smaller (junior) size.

Bridle terminated their sponsorship mid-season and asked to have their name removed from the shirts. 'Officially' this was so that Bridle could focus as the new owners of Eastleigh FC. However, most supporters could see through the PR spin and concluded that Bridle Insurance was not impressed by the controversial signing of goalkeeper Luke McCormick, who'd just served a sentence for causing two deaths by dangerous driving and driving with excess alcohol.
Fans voted from a choice of three nominated local charities to feature on the shirts for the remainder of the season. From 16th February, the Sobell House logo featured on all match shirts.
