Primary Colours

The shirt style remained unchanged to what was worn in 1972.  Match programmes referred to the shirts as “Gold”, however, colour photos and television footage clearly show the kit was yellow.

The shirts now featured a single coloured embroidered club crest. The yellow shorts featured a discrete Umbro diamond, the very first time a kit manufacturer was seen on an Oxford United strip.

Change Colours

A shirt reminiscent of the classic home shirts of Crystal Palace was worn as the change colours.
