Kit Manufacturer

At the time, the fashion was for football shirts to feature multicoloured sleeves. Nike's Trophy Game shirt looked particularly smart in Oxford colours.

EFL Branding

The football league branding remained unchained.

Thankfully the home colours featured far more yellow than the previous season's divisive choice.

The players were provided with thermal compression base layers instead of long-sleeves. Michael Duberry had always worn long sleeves throughout his career, the club made an exception and sourced long-sleeved shirts just for him.

Nike's 'Swoosh' logo was positioned far lower on the socks for just this one season.

Despite having an all-yellow variation, it was worn only once, while white shorts were regularly used for away games. Personally, I’ve never felt that yellow and white make a good pairing.

The change shirt featured the same 'Trophy Game' template as the home shirt. Despite the popularity of the shirt with fans, it only featured 7 times.

Charity Shirt

Against Rotherham, Oxford United wore shirts with the logo of ‘Special Effect’ and commemorative text above the crest in support of four-year-old Charlotte Nott, who lost all of her limbs after contracting meningitis.

After the match, the shirts were auctioned to raise money for the charity, which uses technology to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities.
