At first glance, the home kits appeared unchanged, but there were several subtle differences from the 1994 kits.

The most noticeable change was the new design of the shorts, which featured twin flashes on either hip and a subtle diamond pattern in the fabric.

Additionally, the navy socks now showcased the club crest embroidered on the shin.

The shirts underwent more subtle adjustments, the previous season's reproduction error on the club crest was corrected, and the sponsor's logo was positioned lower on the chest.

Rules regarding kit colors were relaxed, leading many teams to introduce darker shades that could be paired with jeans, thus boosting replica shirt sales.

Oxford United adopted a grey strip featuring varying vertical and diagonal shades. In a notable incident, Manchester United also launched a grey kit; however, Alex Ferguson famously ordered his players to change out of it at half-time after they complained they couldn't see each other!

The yellow socks worn with this grey kit were plain, differing from the alternative yellow socks paired with the home kits. These socks featured a subtle outline of the club crest embroidered on the shin, a nice touch that would appear on all club socks in the subsequent seasons.
